Transfier is a grueling yet spectacularly scenic triathlon held annually in Romania, winding through Lake Vidraru and the famous Transfăgărășan mountain road. Known as one of the toughest half-distance triathlon races in the world, it features closed-road cycling and a brutal run to the Prometheus statue.

Race Categories
Transfier is open to both individual athletes and relay teams, offering two main race formats:
Half (70.3): 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike (+1,530 m elevation), and 21 km run (+321 m elevation)+390 stairs
Olympic: 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike (+447 m elevation), and 10 km run (+127 m elevation)+200 stairs The Three Legs
